A year ago, something shifted. As my 47th birthday approached, I found myself quietly frustrated. I had once promised myself that by the time I turned 50, I would be in the best shape of my life physically, mentally, and professionally. But standing in front of that milestone, I knew I wasn’t even close. I was tired. I was overextended. And like so many women juggling family, work, and everything in between, I had put myself last for far too long.

That birthday became a turning point.

I made a different promise to myself: to take the next three years and change my life. Not with another crash diet or unrealistic challenge, but with something deeper. More sustainable. More real.

I used a GLP-1 medication as a tool to begin my weight loss journey, a choice that’s often misunderstood and criticized. But for me, it was the catalyst. I lost weight, but more importantly, I found clarity. I saw just how much stigma and misinformation existed around weight loss, around women’s bodies, around the real, messy process of taking back your health. And I wanted to do something about it.

At the same time, I quietly started offering meal prep through my original business, Momma V Catering. People had asked me to do it for years, but I’d always hesitated. This time, I did it for myself, for accountability, to support my own goals. But it didn’t stay just mine for long. It turned out that what I needed, so many others needed too.

As I got deeper into my own health journey, I felt a responsibility to learn more, not just for myself, but for the people I was serving. That’s what led me to earn certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in:

  • Nutrition Coaching
  • Weight Loss Specialization
  • Wellness Coaching

I also studied Mindful Drinking and Understanding Weight Loss Medications, so I could support women like me from a place of real knowledge, not social media soundbites.

That’s how Momma V Catering evolved into V. Well Nutrition, a business rooted in nourishment, real education, and real-life experience.

V. Well Nutrition isn’t about perfection. It’s about learning how to nourish yourself, body and mind, amid the chaos of everyday life. It’s for people who’ve tried everything and are still searching for something that finally feels right. It’s for people who want to feel like themselves again.

So, if you’re standing where I stood a year ago- tired, overwhelmed, unsure of what to try next, I want you to know this: you’re not alone. I see you. I’ve been you. And I built this for you.

Let’s do this together.
